My first little instagram post, After visiting the dermatologist I've been told my skin will take up to 8 months to heal so I've decided I can't keep moping around the house and just have to man up, go out an get on with it. So I might keep with doing these sorts of posts now I'll actually be getting up to stuff. Anyway I have an embarrassing amount of followers on Instagram , I have no idea how or why but honestly it infuriates me how a picture of a white t-shirt can get like 100 likes , but I generally like and prefer getting to know people on here rather then on there so if you use it follow me at ok_aimee and leave me a little comment and let me know..

IT'S NOT EVEN MY BIRTHDAY

Jacket | Topshop Boutique (linked to site)   Bag | Zara
Well it is on Tuesday but it hasn't felt like it's coming up at all, so to change that and cheer myself up I went a little shopping mad yesterday and for once I don't regret a penny of it. I needed a new leather jacket so badly and it's the sort of thing that's too expensive to ask off anyone, so I've been searching and searching for the perfect one and the only one I kept going back to HAD to be the most expensive one in Topshop. I've worn my old one literally everyday since I bought it so it's not like I won't get my moneys worth, and you can tell it's going to out last any jacket I've had before the sheer weight and quality of it is amazing in comparison to the cheap faux leather one's i've had before, I've already worn it out and it's a dream so I am a happy (maybe a bit guilty) little bunny. The bag is from Zara, you can see the state of my old bag in the my previous post so there's no explaining as to why I wanted a new bag. It's actually more a blue colour in real life which makes it a bit different from anything I've had before and it's huge! so it's perfect for when I go back to uni to carry my macbook.

To top off the day I went out for dinner and drinks in the evening with one of best mates. We went to an amazing little sushi restaurant next to liverpool street station called Miyako, it was really hidden away but for anyone who likes sushi I suggest you definitely check it out, the food was amazing and definitely the best sushi I've had.  For "desert' my friend bought me a massive goodie bag of American sweets so my diet for the next weeks is just going to be sugar sugar sugar. I might do a little instagram post for this week I feel like I've been out and about all over the place and taking pictures of everything (mainly food)....

WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG

W H A T ' S  I N  M Y  H A N D B A G
They say you can tell a lot about a woman by what she carries in her purse, that may be true, however, this is more like a very polished version of what's in my handbag as I've failed to include all the cigarette packets, sweet wrappers, old receipts and pepsi bottles. My everyday satchel is such a filthy old thing but I've had it for years, it was £80 from warehouse, I bought it with birthday vouchers and at the time it was the most expensive thing I had ever purchased, It has every buckle missing with stains all over it but I love it too much to ever replace it, I own far nicer handbags but I still find myself attached this old thing.  Anyway, the crap I carry around on a daily basis:

SWEATER WEATHER

Top: Topshop Crop Knit Shorts: MOTO Topshop Shoes: US Urban Outfitters
(linked through to website)

Just a small outfit post of what I wore yesterday, I realise I must look ridiculous wearing a mohair jumper in 30 degree heat but I'm like a cold blooded reptile. I never feel the heat and it's great on days like today watching everyone melt on the train to London while I'm wrapped up in my leather jacket and not sweating a bead.

Yesterday I had two consultations on Harley Street about the burns on my face, I've been put forward to a GP by the dermatology centre who is apparently one of the best in the business and has been in the guardian about her field of work and even on embarrassing bodies! (you know your face is bad when you need the doctor from embarrassing bodies, fml) So I have to go back to up their thursday morning. Plus I'm working tomorrow till late now Westifleds is open at all ridiculously hours with the olympics on their way so this week is going to be busy busy busy but fingers crossed I can FINALLY get ome results with my face because at the moment I'm borderline wanting to give up on life.

It's also my birthday next week, I cant believe it's come around so quickly, I'm not particularly looking forward to it and there's nothing I even want. Just a new face, does anyone have their dying for right now or could recommend anything to do?. Also for anyone that's interested I'm selling my American Apparel Circle skirt in XS on Ebay right now, click here to have a look !

WISHLIST

1. I'm really into the sportswear inspired clothes at the moment, I don't own much comfy casual wear and for days where I'm not going anywhere special I really need some basic crew necks and jersey T-shirts, (3.) I normally hate logo / graphic t-shirts but I love this "I hate you" t-shirt,  for anyone that doesn't know me I'm pretty much void of any human empathy towards anything so I might as well plaster it all over a t-shirt (it reminds me of the sort of t-shirts Roy used to wear in IT crowd haha I always wanted the "NO" shirt ).

2. White jeans have always been a solid "no" in my eyes but I've been perving on Alexa Chung's instagram and she's been looking incredible in a pair of light skinny jeans recently,  I found these on Topshop and they're a perfect match, I prefer that they're a much softer "bone" colour rather than a tacky bright white.

4. Anyone who knows me knows a horseshoe is my lucky charm, I have horseshoe jewellery coming out of my ears but nothing quite as lovely as this House of Harlow bracelet, and it's under £30! I always thought House of Harlow jewellery was really expensive.

5. Round Raybans! I'm torn between these and Karen Walker Sunglasses for my birthday but it really sucks that the round lens ones are so much more expensive than the standard wayfarers. I think I need to find somewhere I can try Karen Walker ones on before I decide.

6. DREAM BAG, I really can't afford it but I thought I'd add it anyway for anyone with ££££ to spend because it is so beautiful and I want it so badly. Maybe I'm an idiot but I was completely unaware Nelly was available in the UK !. (8.) While I was on there I came across these gorgeous white platform heels!, one of my favourite bloggers VanillaScented has been sporting a beautiful pair of white wedges for summer and they've made me eager for a pair!.

It's my birthday soon and other than scar removal I have no idea what I want is there anything you're really lusting after at the moment? Does anyone know anywhere good to go out in London, i'm thinking maybe the Queen of Hoxton or Blues Kitchen, or has anyone been to Cargo's? I've heard that's meant to be good

NEW IN : REPLICA CHLOE STUDDED BOOTS

I finally got my staff card back and as you can tell celebrated immediately. I work at Schuh and annoyingly lost my staff card, it's been absolute torture seeing all these new shoes come in knowing I can't buy them but I thought at least I was saving money, until last week these came in and I had to have them ! I've been lusting after these boots since Sienna Miller circa 2009, when Office started selling replicas, I only wished we had something similar and then ta dar! there was one pair left in my size yesterday coincidentally the day my new card arrived so I had to snap them up. They are perfect, I did my shift in them to break them in and they're comfy as hell, I never have any luck with harder leather boots as I've got pretty wide feet and they tend to cut in at the sides but these didn't at all, they didn't rub and I came home without a single blister, considering I was only in thin tights I see that as a miracle. I was umming and arring whether I should have bought them or not but I am so happy I did, they're amazing quality which is good to see as sometimes the price doesn't alway match the product,  and they've already survived a walk in torrential rain.
Not to be totally biased or anything but loads of people asked me where I got them from when I posted a picture on Instagram and I know other places do similar styles but I wholeheartedly recommend Schuh! I know I got my discount but £80 isn't cheap and Schuh are the only place with a years refund returns policy so you have a bit of time to make your mind up! where as office you can't get your money back whatsoever so it's that's a lot of money down the pan if you're unsure.

This week I hit 300 followers, which I am totally overwhelmed by, so a massive thank you to all you kind strangers. This led me to looking back through all my posts from these first few months and I noticed each week showed little alternation from the last so to keep things interesting I'm just going to start posting a little more of whatever I fancy, amongst the current same old of course. So this is my first Mixtape, some old songs, some new. Let me know what you think of it and the idea of posting music/mix-tapes in general, and again thank you all for following my dear old drab of a blog. Happy Sunday.

PUTTING HEAVEN OUT OF BUSINESS

Dress : American Apparel Shirt: Old H&M (Similar here) Tassle Brogues: River Island (Similar here)

Oh sweet jesus I have found the dress of my dreams (the pictures definitely do not do it justice, looks better on American Apparel's website). I have been after a pinafore dress for agessss, I even been trying on children's school uniform pinafores in M&S but as you can guess they where obviously made for children's figures and fitted like a sack. I'm embarrassed and disgusted by the price but it's exactly what I've wanted so I couldn't just leave it there and it turned out to be the cheaper option between a similar Dahlia pinafore I was going to order. Anyway this also comes in white which was equally as perfect for summer but that would have meant spending £120 on two dresses, so that one will have to wait till next pay check, but I'm adamant I will own it, as finding a dress that is fitted so well at the chest and waist is one in a million for me, so a heads up this may fit a little differently on anyone with a pair of boobs. I'm also dying for a pair of Russel and Bromley brogues but until I can afford a pair I've polished my incredibly old and tattered River Island ones, which don't look too bad if you saw what state they where in before, anyway the shoes also confirm that I am dressed entirely in school uniform today.

Anyway I've spent the day racking my wardrobe and think I've got enough clobber to put together a blog sale which is super as I am now creeping into my overdraft, I don't really know how these things are done, whether it's easiest to just do a page on here or make a big cartel? hhhmm....

OLD GREY

Shirt H&M Jumper: Next Skirt: Topshop

Pretty boring outfit post but I must have woke up, got dressed, then back into my pyjamas within an hour this morning , I wanted to pop into London today for a few bits but the second I went to leave the heavens opened, so I hid indoors instead. (and now as I type this its bloody sunny out, I can't handle this on/off weather).

Anyway this is a new shirt I picked up from H&M last week, I wasn't going to bother posting this outfit as I don't think it looks right? I don't know if i'm as entirely sold on the shirt as I was when I tried it on in the shop, I love a good novelty collar but the material is so rigid it doesn't really sit well around the neck, if that makes any sense, I'm still undecided, what do you think ?.

I'm thinking of doing a blog sale too as I abhor ebay recently, I always think I've made a nifty profit and then three weeks later, surprise, there's an ebay invoice for like 20% of what I've made, it's so cheeky. So in attempt to actually make a little bit of dollar I'll just advertise bits straight through here, the point of this is I'm going to be selling this leather body con skirt I've never worn in and forgot I even had it, until today when I went to wear it and found it's now too big for mee :(.

MONDAY INSPIRATION : PINTEREST

(images i've recently pinned, sources via my account)

What with the miserable weather and running out of things to look at on the internet,  I've spent the day getting into using Pinterest! it's taken me a while as I originally avoided it because I could't be bothered with yet another social media account in my name, however, recently I've been seeing a bunch of articles on sites like Independent fashion bloggers about using Pinterest in sync with blogging so I thought i'd give it a go.

I'm sure reading this you're probably thinking how "late" I am to jump on the wagon and I am totally clueless as to how many people I follow/follow me even use Pinterest but now I've got the hang of it I'm starting to love it,  It's obviously a great platform for inspiration and best of all It's an excellent tool to completely de-clutter my MacBook, if I see an image I like I just used to save it, never write down who it's by, what it is or where it's from, just save it, so it can sit adequately useless in my downloads folder so now I'm "pinning" everything I like the look of so I can still find it's source. After a single day I've already gone a bit OCD on organisation and boards,  send help.

Does anyone like Pinterest and always use it? or is a case of using it for a couple of days and forgetting all about it?

DEEP THROAT

I couldn't believe it when Sian emailed me to say I had won her giveaway, I never win anything ! The last thing I ever won was a Nokia 3310 so it's been a good few years since I've had any luck! But what a give away to win, Nars blushes are my absolute favourite, hence what drew me to Sians giveaway, I remember entering the day I smashed my Nars blush in Luster in hope I had a minute chance of  winning a free replacement and by some miracle I did :), the giveaway was THE BEST in the fact you could choose what shade you wanted, so I thought I'd go for something new and chose Deep Throat, I've previously owned the almighty popular Super Orgasm and honestly I wasn't fan, it's a bit too full on "pink and glittery" for me, especially for every day wear. Deep Throat is a far better choice for me, it still has a light shimmer with a good colour pigmentation so you only need to apply it lightly or build up for a more intense colour. Overall, I really do love the quality of NARS blushes and I'm so pleased with this shade :).

I'm sorry I haven't done any swatches but if you've been reading my blog you'll know I've got an awful infection on my face so i'll save your eyes the horrid sight, Emma recently reviewed the blush (here) with swatches and pictures of it applied for anyone who wants an idea of how it looks on, It was awesome to read Emma's lovely review knowing mine was on the way to me in the post :). So again a massive thank you to Sian I suggest you all go check out her blog here

Like I said I smashed my blush in Luster :( , I used that everyday prior to Deep Throat so I think I'm definitely in need of a new replacement,  I'm thinking of trying Dolce Vita?, I'm going to look around for swatches and reviews first but are their any shades that you would recommend? or are there other blushers you prefer to NARS?. I'm also thinking of doing my own giveaway soon too? I'm not sure what I'd even giveaway but seeing how chuffed I was winning this, I really think it will be a nice thing to do and to think I even received a little present from my tutor for just starting this blog so it's only fair, right?...

GO OUTSIDE

Shirt: Zara (cheaper versions here , here and here) Shorts: American Apparel Leather Jacket: Vintage (similar here) Bag: Zara

Look who's finally home from the dry cleaners!, this shirt is like my pride and joy but my god it has burnt such a hole in my purse, it was £60 in the first place and it's bloody dry clean only so I have been wearing it every other weekend to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth and wear out of it. I bought it a while back when it was new in at Zara's but for anymore who has more sense with money than I do there are a ton of cheaper alternatives around on the high street (i've linked a few above). It's probably not shorts weather at moment but I wear jeans like once in a blue moon so I do genuinly leave the house looking as ridiculous as this.  Anyway my skin is still awful so I've just been going round friends houses or seeing my boyfriend this week, still adamantly avoiding the public eye. The thing is the spot/infection has gone now but the healing process is causing such dark skin pigmentation which is impossible to cover with make up so it looks like a huge bruise on my face, but a permanent one, it's dry and peeling and nothingggg is bringing the redness down, it's pretty much like a severe graze on my face so if anyone knows any tips on speeding up healing//reducing redness or scaring pleasee let me know.

I also received my giveaway prize from the lovely Sian in the post, so that's made my day. I'm so chuffed I couldn't believe it when I won so I'll do a little post on that tomorrow.

SLOW LIFE

So back to the standard Black / White uniform dress code. I saw these shorts on Lauren's blog (here) and immediately fell in love with them so when I had to exchange a few things (all the crap I ordered in the sale) I was thrilled Westfields had them in my size !.  The shirt is also new in from Topshop as surprisingly in my 350 shirt collection I didn't actually own a plain white long sleeved one, Oh and winter boots in july pretty much sums up the current english weather.

Also this is my poor mans D.I.Y collar tips, I think collar details are beautiful, I never wear necklaces so sometimes a shirt on it's own does look a bit drab! but there is no way in hell I'm paying £12 on asos for some metal clips that I know i'll probably come home from a night out with only one left, so the perfect alternative - ugly unwanted earrings !. I've had my ears pierced since i was 7 and probably wore earrings twice, yet my nan is always handing me down pairs and I hoarded all sorts of pairs from claires accessories with my pocket money when i was like 12, so all these pairs that have been untouched for about 6 years are now being sorted into what could make cute collar tips and the bin.
